We offer three ways to upload and download your files: either using FTP in your web browser directly, by using a dedicated FTP program, or by using the popular File Sharing program YouSendIt.
The Gallery Audio Productions has installed a dedicated File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server for uploading and downloading files. FTP is the fastest way to move large files, as it is very efficient.
1) Microsoft Internet Explorer
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, then the first step is to type the following address into the address bar:
ftp://thegalleryftpserver.dyndns.org
Next, you will be prompted for a User name and password. Use the User name and password that was sent to you by email when the account was created. Internet Explorer will then display the files and folders in your FTP account. You can now drag and drop files from your local drive to the Internet Explorer window, or you can drag and drop files from Internet Explorer to your local drive.
2) Google Firefox
If you are using Firefox, then the first step is to check if you have the FireFTP Add-On installed. You can check this by clicking on the "Tools" item in the Firefox Menu bar. If FireFTP is installed, then you should see "FireFTP" in the drop-down menu. If it is not installed, then simply download and install the Add-On from the Mozilla Firefox web page (google "FireFTP" if you want to do a quick search).
Once FireFTP is installed, launch it by selecting "FireFTP" from the "Tools" drop-down menu. Firefox will open a Tab that shows two sections, one to the left, one to the right. The left section will display the files and folders on your local drive. The right section will display the files and folders on the FTP server. However, the right section will initially not display anything, as we first need to connect to the FTP server.
In order to connect to the server, click on the drop-down menu on the far left side of the screen (just under the Tabs row), and select "Create an account". A pop-up window will appear, asking for the Host, Login, and a password (ignore the other fields). For the Host, use the following address:
ftp://thegalleryftpserver.dyndns.org
For the Login and password, use the User name (which is the Login) and the password that was sent to you by email when the account was created. FireFTP will then display the files and folders in your FTP account. You can now drag and drop files from your local drive (left section) to the FTP server (right section), or you can drag and drop files from the FTP server (right section) to your local drive (left section).
We recomment you use either FileZilla (PC/MAC) or OneButton FTP (Mac) as your FTP client. Both software applications are free, and very simple to use. If you are not familiar with these FTP clients, then please click on the Tutorial links below. They will explain in detail how to use these FTP clients.
YouSendIt is a popular, free file sharing program that will allow file uploads of up to 100MB at a time (if your file is larger then that, we recommend you use one of the above options). When you send your files to us, please use the following email address:

Note: YouSendit does not automatically send us your email address when you send us a file, so if you are a first time client, we have no way of knowing how to contact you. Please either enter your email address in the "Subject" or "Comments" field on the YouSendit page, or send us an email to the address listed on our Contact page, so we know how to reach you, and where to send the mastered track(s).
